University of Bolton, U.K.
An introduction
The
graduates from Xin An Polytechnic College who are involved
in 3+1 Project will receive a Chinese Higher National
Diploma as well a ‘Letter of Credits’ issued by University
of Bolton. They will be eligible to enter the final year of
an Honours degree in University of Bolton. Satisfactory
performance in the examinations set by University of Bolton
will lead to a Bachelors Degree with Honours.
University of Bolton
and its degrees are recognized by the Chinese and UK
Governments. On the website of China Embassy to UK (www.edu-chinaembassy.org.uk)
there is a list of UK education institutions which are
authorized to have the full powers of a higher education
institution by the UK Government.
The ‘
Agreement on Exchange Degrees in Higher Education ’ signed
between the Education Departments of the UK & China central
government in 2003 ensures the recognition of Bolton’s
Degrees.
The features of
3+1 Project ---What makes us special?
● The
modules taught in Xin An Polytechnic College are eguivalent
to the modules set by Bolton’s level 1 & 2 course and are
moderated by appointed staff from Bolton.

The Examination Board held in Xin An is chaired by staff
from Bolton and is held on a fixed date every year. It will
examine the students’ achievement and decide to whom the
‘Letter of Credits’ is offered.
●
As part of the course, an
intensive English training lays a better foundation for four
skills(Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking) and enables
students to attain an approach to IELTS.
●
There are other choices.
Apart from 3+1 project, 2+2 project and 1+3 project are
available.
